FAQ

Do I need any special software or hardware to access classes?
Not if you're on a standard, Internet-connected computer. Our classes run on the Adobe Connect platform, which uses Adobe Flash and is therefore accessible to most Internet-connected computers in the world. When you first log-in to the classroom, you may be asked to install an "Add-In." This is a very simple extension for your browser and will install automatically, unlike software you have to download and install separately.

What if I can't make it to a class I really want to take because of a scheduling conflict?
All of our classes are recorded and the recordings are sent out to registered members the next day, so you'll always be able to catch up on anything you missed. The recordings are great as well if you attended the session and want to review any parts you missed or really want to see again.

How do I join classes?
You will receive a username and password shortly before your class. While attending classes, you'll be able to ask questions and interact via text chat or through occasional audio and video access if you have a webcam and/or mic on your computer.  

Can I watch the classes or recordings from an iPad or other mobile device?
Absolutely! However, you will need to install one or two apps first. For the live classes, you'll need to grab a free app for the iOS or Android at the Apple App Store or the Google Play store. It's called "Adobe Connect" and is pretty easy to install and use. Since the recordings are Flash-based, you'll also need to install a Flash-friendly browser on any Apple devices. You can find several such browsers in the App Store--some that are free. We personally like Photon, but it does cost a few bucks.

What if I've already registered for a class and haven't received any information?
Please check your spam or junk filter. Search for messages from aaron (at) delveworks.com. You can also write to us directly at that address and we'll resend anything you might have missed. We're sometimes slow to reply to new registrations on the weekends, but otherwise you should always receive a welcome message within 12-24 hours. 

Who do I talk to if I have billing or technical questions?
Contact aaron (at) delvewriting.com. Just about everything here is done by actual humans. On the plus side, that means you'll have quick access to a human being who can help resolve any issues. On the negative side, our response times are sometimes a bit slower than they would be if a machine were resolving the issue due to work schedules and life requirements. We promise, though, if you can be a bit patient with us, we'll make sure to help resolve any issue you might have.
